Apply for Financing
Submit your financing application and the required information for credit assessment. Your application will be evaluated based on your ability to repay and the applicable financing criteria.
Get Your Financing Offer
Once approved, you will receive the applicable financing amount, repayment schedule, fees and terms for your facility.
The maximum financing available is 70% of the approved vehicle value. You will be responsible for the balance of the vehicle purchase price and any applicable costs not covered by the financing facility.
Sign the Agreement
Before financing is completed, you will be required to:
- Sign the financing agreement;
- Accept the applicable terms and conditions;
- Complete all required documentation; and
- Provide the required security and insurance documentation.
Install the Apenia App
The Apenia App is used to manage your financing and make repayments.
Once your facility is activated, you will use the app to monitor your repayment schedule, view your outstanding balance and make payments.
Vehicle Transfer & Charge
The vehicle will be transferred and placed under charge with the financier as security for the financing facility.
The vehicle remains subject to the financing agreement until the facility has been fully settled.
Drive Away
Once all required conditions have been satisfied and the financing process is completed, you can take possession of your BenBen Smart Cars vehicle and begin your repayment journey.

Eligibility & Requirements
To qualify for BenBen Smart Cars Car Financing, applicants must satisfy the applicable credit and vehicle assessment requirements.
Basic Requirements
- Be eligible for financing under the applicable credit assessment criteria;
- Purchase a vehicle from BenBen Smart Cars;
- Meet the minimum financing requirement of KShs. 100,000;
- Demonstrate the ability to repay the facility within the agreed period;
- Provide the required identification and KYC information;
- Provide income or financial information required for credit assessment;
- Sign the financing agreement and accept the applicable terms and conditions;
- Install and maintain the Apenia App for financing management and repayments;
- Pay the applicable KShs. 28,000 tracker fee;
- Ensure the vehicle has an active comprehensive motor insurance policy; and
- Complete the vehicle transfer and charging process required by the financier.
Additional documentation may be requested depending on the applicant's circumstances and the vehicle being financed.
Comprehensive Insurance
- A valid comprehensive motor insurance policy is mandatory for every financed vehicle.
- The insurance must remain active throughout the financing period and meet the requirements specified by the financier.
- Maintaining valid comprehensive insurance protects both the customer and the financier against covered risks affecting the financed vehicle.
Vehicle Tracking
All financed vehicles are required to have an approved tracking device installed.
Tracker Fee: KShs. 28,000
The tracker enables the vehicle to be monitored throughout the financing period and forms part of the vehicle security and risk-management arrangements.
The customer is responsible for the applicable tracker fee and for maintaining the tracker as required under the financing agreement.

Who provides the financing?
The financing is offered through the BenBen Smart Cars financing arrangement, with the digital financing technology powered by Apenia. All financing remains subject to credit assessment, approval and the applicable financing terms and conditions.
How long does approval take?
Processing time depends on the completeness of your application, verification requirements, credit assessment and completion of the required documentation.
What happens after I finish paying?
Once the financing facility has been fully settled and all applicable obligations have been cleared, the financier will process the release of the vehicle's charge in accordance with the financing agreement and applicable procedures.

The maximum financing amount is up to 70% of the approved vehicle value and does not constitute an automatic entitlement to 70% financing.
The applicable interest, fees, charges, repayment amount and other costs will be communicated to the customer before acceptance of the financing agreement.
The customer must maintain comprehensive insurance and comply with all requirements relating to vehicle tracking, repayment, vehicle use and security throughout the financing period.
